What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a totally safe and natural, with no harmful side effects. When under hypnosis, you will feel a sense of deep relaxation, and focus on appropriate suggestions made by the hypnotherapist. These suggestions help you to make positive changes within yourself.

Hypnotherapy can be an effective therapy to use with many psychological, emotional and physical disorders. You will visualize yourself becoming healthier, happier, more confident or whatever it is that you want to be.

What happens in a therapy session?

The first part of the session is spent talking about what you would like to achieve and your progress so far.
The therapist will then take you into a relaxed hypnotic state, you will be fully aware and fully in control. You will not be asleep and cannot be made to do anything you do not wish to do.
Whilst you are pleasantly and deeply relaxed the therapist communicates directly with the subconscious part of your mind. Allowing you to use your own resources to make the positive changes you wish to make.
